Long time no post...

To make a long story short, the company I work for has decided to pull out of the spanish market so that means that I get the boot. August 15th will be my last day.

I've been through quite a pile of shit over the last year and I have decided that this is the last straw. I need time out and I'm going to be taking a couple of months off. I did my numbers and came out with 7 weeks of holidays over the last 4 years, so that explains why I feel burn out.

I could stay in Barcelona but life is so much cheaper (though also more boring) in Portugal so I'm moving back. I think I want to be a lumberjack...

I've made a huge mistake. I admit it... I have moved to another city yet again. I used to live in Barcelona and now I'm living in Gracia. Some might think that Gracia is just an area of Barcelona. That could not be further from the truth. Gracia is more like a disturbance in the Force, a black hole of sorts that sucks you in and takes you to another dimension...The Gracia Zone.

Allow me to elaborate. I moved over about a week ago. As it happens, I should have seen it coming since it was sitting in Gracia when I started thinking about moving over to Barcelona (aka..all that surrounds Gracia). To the outsider it has bars, plazas, restaurants, is a nice place to spend the evening.

But once I moved there I started noticing weird things...Is like...there is a force that doesn't want me to leave the area. It started with the bars. First couple of nights I would go for beers with Paul to one of the bazillion nice bars around. Then on Friday night I got totally wasted and didn't sleep at my place (mostly because I was on Superman mode, you know, when you think that you can do just about anything when you can hardly pick your own nose). The morning after, while ridding the subway home with one big ass nasty headache it started happening...I got an sms from Paul. "Beer, Plaza Sol, now?". Humm, very convenient if you ask me. I'm not even sober and here comes the chance for more drinks. Then right after it happen again. While walking to meet Paul I walk by this tattoo studio owned by a friend of mine. She just happen to be by the door so I stopped to say hi and tell my stories about the night before. And then she popped the question "Listen, when am I tattoing you? I won't charge you a thing. Next Tuesday".I mumbled a "yeah, sure..." But something told me that there was something wrong.

And then it started happening more often. Next thing was buying a matress. I was planning on going to Ikea and someone told me "Why? There is a shop that sells matresses cheaper than Ikea a few blocks away". Want a gym? Two blocks down. One to train judo? One block up and one block left. No kimono fight and kickboxing? There's an small illegalish one on my street, ran by some english guy. Want tools? Shop is on the oposite side of the block across the street. Skate shops? down the street then turn left, walk for 5 minutes and you're there. My Dropkick Murphys t-shirt that I have only once saw for sale? T-shirt shop on the way to the subway. Incense sticks? Half a dozen shops all over.Supermarkets? 5 in a 4 block radious, take your pick. Sex shop? Sure, there are things in some of them that are consider military threats in some countries. Tea shop? 10 minutes walk if you want to take the one further away. Sightseeing? Parc Guell is up the street, 10 minutes uphill walk. I'm not even going to get into the "hey, I'm going out to Gracia tonight, meet me at..." text messages, I just ignore them. There is even a portuguese shop, with pastel de natas and bicas!!! Is awful. I can't leave this place. I have been sucked in. Help!!!!!

Now, let's clear what is happening in May and June. By now things are getting a bit out of hand:

- I am NOT spending the May 1st weekend in Lisbon. My house in BCN is being remodeled and then I'm moving in. Plus hot weather in Barcelona is arriving and the whole place screams "do nasty things to me" so I am want to spend a long weekend here. And that means that I will also not be going to Madrid thanks for the offer (unless someone is particularly boring and needs a bit of chaos going their way)

- May 5-7: Cento still doesn't know this but I want to bring the Chaos Tour to Valencia next weekend and set the place on fire. Let them know what the Lisbon crew is all about: Somos como los vascos pero a lo bestia.

- May 17-20: Off to Lisbon to see Slightly Stoopid, Max Romeo, Placebo and LCD Sound System (I think). I have completly forgotten the name of the festival. Oh and I should bring Leia dog back to Barcelona so all those pussy ass dogs over here get a feeling of what a crazy bitch is :)

- June 4 - 9 : Off to Malta on work. Might or might take the Chaos Tour on the previous weekend to Milan. Anyone up for it?

- June 12 - 17: I can't stand it, you know I planned it, I am going to trade Santo Antonio in Lisbon for Sonar and watch the Beastie Boys . Sara arrives to BCN on the 12th and I should take the 14th and 15th off to, in Sara's words "spread terror on the Sonar parties" on an anything-goes-4-days weekend.

So on Thursday I went for my niece's baptism and came back yesterday. Basically before I took noticed of what was happening, it was over but hey, that's how it goes...

Will be a first for many things and I guess that in some way I should be blown away and all but to be honest I'm more amazed that time went by so fast this year. Anyways, the first are having a new member in the family, actually spending Xmas with my whole family for the first time in 7 years (not counting the disaster that was Xmas 2 years ago), fist time in a very very long time that I'll be spending Xmas as a single man and so on...

As for scheduling and the Lisboa Confidencial roll call of who is where, here it goes:

- Boston Alex, sounds like he'll spend it in...well, Boston. No fucking clue what he's doing for New Years but knowing Alex it will probably be pimping it in the Playboy mansion or in cruise in the Carabbian or some other crap like that. Don't worry, I'm counting on him to send pics later on so we can all hate him.
- Cris and Vic : Madrid for the sounds of it. Mogollón de besos, se os quiere :)
- James: Flying to Lisbon for Xmas and spending it at Alex Y while sleeping at Alex K (can we for fuck sake forbid the name Alex for a whole generation???). Alex, last time that James stayed at my house on his own I walk into the living room to find him butt naked and snoring belly up, pass out on my couch. I dare you to shave one of his eyebrows if that happens to you...
- Powlow: Flying to Lisbon on Friday, with me (which reminds me that last time that we flew together we almost crashed at Heathrow but hey...) and coming back to Barcelona on the 30th, with James. From there on I think he takes off to the Basque Country for New Years
- Anne: Germany on Dec 22nd, Barcelona on the 30th. B-day on the 20th, don't forget!
- Metzner: Coming back from Belgium at some point before Xmas. I have no idea where he'll spend NY, but I would say that at either Lisbon or Sweden.
- Pedro Vidal: Anyone knows? Home in Lisbon for Xmas?

Oh, and some days off this year would be amazing. I think I've taken 10 days off in 2006 and 7 in 2005. Rock on!

For anyone in Lisbon, here's an idea. How about a surfing session on the morning of the 24th? Any takers? Man or mice?

I'll allow to start this post of mine with a "Good Vibes" shout to everyone out there who's not doing so good. Yesterday I had a chat with someone who won't be referred by name but hey, it goes out to that person and to everyone around (yes, that does include Pedro Vidal). I'm in a good mood and I will spread my good mood around.

So what are we up to lately? Well, house hunting. And the expression "I've created a monster" does come to mind. Why? Well, I have a folder in my email with 37 ads that Anne sent me. And that's only from the last weekend.

So, we're just looking for places and prizes and then we'll do the bank thing and then I hope we manage to actually close a good deal. In the meantime I have to call all 37 houses and try to get something going. And who's idea was it? Mine. All Mine.

...but the bright side is that you can come visit soon..

Man it has been busy lately.... I remember how back then when I was single (about....10 years ago by now? Time flies when you're happy) I either went through long periods of "singleness" or I had multiple options at the same time1 Which is exactly what's happening at work lately, loads and loads of things happening at the same time. I just hope that, just as 10 years ago, at least something works by.

So, yeah loads of work on one hand and on the other Anne and I have decided to buy a house (no, no wedding bells so far) so the little free time that we have we are trying to see houses which is not easy at all. To make things even more fun, Anne just joined a new Gymn and is going there 3 times a week (whooo-hooo Anne). Of course that I then got jelous and decided to try the Brazilian Jujitsu thing that I've been hearing for so long and well, I will have to split now between Krav Maga and BJJ classes which is great because then I get my ass kicked even more often than before.

But hey, life is gorgeous. I mean it, seriouslly. Anne and I are again moving alone as Guillermo left last month and as much as he was always a good housemate, things are better when is just us in the house. Plus we have a bunch of projects going which keep us busy, happy and drives us crazy all at the same time.

We're getting along very well also with sports. I've been going twice a week to Krav Maga since September and I've missed so far about 5 classes so I'm very happy about it, both about the physicall and psychological (spelling?) benefits of it (although I still have a one-pack set of abdominals).

Work is busy but good, if not because we're making huge amounts of money but rather because we have very exciting projects and we're starting to work with interesting partners. So we're seeing something that we created from scratch evolve into something that other companies see through a "hey, let's talk to this guys" point of view.

So there, those are my good vibes and if you touch the screen right now I hope that some of it will rub on you. If it doesn't you will have a big CSI-style palm print on your screen that you'll have to whipe out.

Back to work. Week 1

So week 1 was a lot of fun... Let's see...

We came back on Monday and it was a great way of comming back to Lisbon. I almost threw up on the landing thanks to strong winds, an hysterical little girl and a the worse coffee in the world which I tasted in the airport in Cologne. After having a relaxed day (and the shit runs due to the coffee from hell) we chilled out and prepare to go to labour world on Tuesday. Or at least me, Anne didn't start school till the day after.

So after surviving first day depression and a very intense urge to slash my wrists during the whole day, we went out for dinner with my family and extended family. And by that I mean my dad's brother and his gf and my brasilian cousins which I had only seen once before about 8 years ago or something (I was still living at my parents so at least it was 5 years ago). It was a nice dinner if a bit odd (in the "this is your long lost relative" sort of way), I wish I could've get to know them a bit better since they're nice kids. Oh well they're off to Paris for two months and as a coincidence Paris just happens to be on my "must visit" list for 2006 (BTW, I might hit London still during this month so a little bit of hell might be on your way, you know who you are).

Anyways the rest of the week was rather uneventfull other than having dinner with my parents at Kings Day and picking up Leia on Saturday. And we watched War of the Worlds on Saturday with Alex Taveira... the script is nothing out of this world (pun intended) but the sfx and photography are pretty damm amazing.

Happy New Year people!
We're back on civilization since yesterday. We're at Jenny's house (that pic below is from her window, you may be able to notice the telecom antena if it wasn't for my crappy mobile cam) and back on a normal 3G connection.
New Year this year was very calm and quiet which was a good thing since nobody was on a big party mood. The day before we went sledging (and I even got to try a snowboard thanks to Sebastian) so we were beaten up. Also, we drove for about 1 hour and something else on the worse snow storm I've ever been into.
Anyways, tomorrow we should fly back to Lisbon, oh Lisbon with renewed energy to get it on and all that jazz.

Boston Alex gets smacked by senior citizen

Alex's mom (no mom joke for once) just phone me up from the hospital to let me know that Alex got the beating of his life by a 96 year old last night. Alex himself can't talk yet since his lower jaw is broken in 4 different places and his missing several teeth and a pokemon card. He has multiple fractures but at least the internal bleedings have stopped.

Looks like for whatever reason Alex and this old fart got into a shouting match last night in front of Alex's house. At some point the old guy pointed his wheelchair towards Alex and shoot the thing up at top speed, hitting him so hard that he flew over and landed on the middle of the street.Alex's mom (...must...not...make...mom...joke) said that in the ambulance Alex mentioned something about the wheelchair having a nitro deposit but they were not really sure about neon lights, spoilers and techno music.

After running over Boston's ass the oldie went back and smacked him with the oxigen bottle a couple of times and started the old "When Salazar was alive" speech, which is how doctors assume that the internal bleeding happen.

And on with what's been going on over the last week.

Let's start with the June 10th Portugal Day and the now famous "arrastão" where a reported 500 kids robbed clean the Carcavelos beach. Turns out that they were not 500 but rather an estimated 80 black gettho kids, the kind that ask for money on the trains, wear Sacoor and Burburys shirts, have expensive moniles and are very tought when in packs. Hang on, gettho kids wearing expensive clothing? What's wrong with that, shouldn't they be saving the money to get out of the gettho? Yeah, it's a sad sad world sugga.

Anyways, it is one more nail on the Portuguese coffin that obviouslly has stirred up some nationalist movements thinggies with a manif schedule for tomorrow downtown Lisbon (though I suspect that is not to pay tribute to Alvaro Cunhal).

While I'm not racist, I do have to point out that race IS a big issue on this thing. Solution? Blow me, I'm not a politician...

...Although lately I have been thinking about a solution to the current state of crap that portuguese politics and consequently(sp?) Portugal is in. Let's do it like this:

- Abolish Democracy over night. Ok, well maybe not completly. Leave elections for President, is not like he does much anyways (minus some controversy here and there) but at least it looks good. And we can't have drooling-mouth D.Duarte as a king anyways....
- Set up Portugal as a corporate state where every resident has shares of the country. Portugal Inc. They can vote a Directors Board in a very similar way to a democratic society.
- Just as in a company, goverment employees all the way up to the 1st Minister (Or Portugal Corp CEO in my version) have very well defined goals, with quarterly timmings and bonus in case they reach the goals or exceed them considerably. Obviouslly, if they don't they get the boot, just like any of us poor slobs working in private companies.
- Anyone can sell their stocks of the company to another company, person or army. Therefore, there's no war anymore, only agressive takeovers. Last week Anne and I spend most of our freetime watching Star Wars Episodes I and II. And on Saturday, after my massive hangover was partially cured we went to see Episode III with Boston Alex...which was a fine way of finding out that Anne has convert herself to the cult known as Star Wars geekness. She watched New Hope and the whole The Empire Strikes Back minus about 20 minutes on Sunday... Yeah, we'll be getting matching "Rebel Allience" Tattoos any day now.

Seriouslly, that was tooo much Star Wars for me...which hasn't finished yet given that yesterday we already started watching The Return of the Jedi.

On Friday night: Alex and I decided to go out on Friday pimp style. And we started by walking into Hard Rock Café and jumping in front of a 2 pages (15 tables?) waiting list courtesy of a VIP card from yours truly. We literally walked in, asked for a table, got told to wait, asked for a beer, take a sip and got called to the table. After two more cocktails things went downhill...a lot. So basically I don't remember huge parts of the night (including going to a cash machine with Alex) and I spend most of Saturday showing my love for my toilet.

We will gladly put it in the back of our truck and deliver anywhere within 150 miles of Atlanta, no charge! Last week was one major fucked up stretch... Let's see if I can recap:

- Tuesday: Woke up at 3:30 with Jewel (cat) jumping up and down and all over me and somehow convinced that my toes are good to chew on...which was a nice way to start the day, considering that 2 hours later I was a very sleepy Pablo sitting at Lisbon's airport watching some celebs go by. Airplane took off for Munich at 6:30 and I fell asleep about 1,17 minutes afterwards. From Munich it was a quick race to our plane for our final destination of Vienna where the Marathon of meetings started.

- Wednesday: Wake up at 6:30 (5:30 in portugal) and from there on non-stop untill plane at 4 pm where the conveersation went on untill I was forced to pull the plug and sleep a bit. We landed in Lisbon just as Sporting was loosing (suits them well the no good greenies) and went on to a 1:30-2 hours phone marathon. Go me.... Ended up going to bed at ...1 am?

- Thursday: At 9:30 in the morning (ok slightly late due to traffic) I was sitting in Lisbon for an informal meeting. Shades down to my ass and off to the office, for some work and then a meeting that went from 2 pm to ....I have no idea wen.

- Friday: Was more of a relaxed day catching up with shitloads of stuff and ended with a business dinner that took waaaaaay too long...but was nice.

- Saturday: woke up at 7 thinking that I was really late for work, had breakfast then decided that I didn't really had to go to work but oh well, since I was on I might as well go and do some shopping.

- Sunday: Nothing biggie, other than speding time with my better half, having a meal at Hard Rock Cafe and paying 4 € for the two of us aaaaand finish the day watching Episode I of Star Wars. The idea is to watch I and II before III...and please, Victoria, if you read this I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN THE MOVIE....well, actually I already know enought as it is...

- Monday: Normal work day ended up with the usual dinner with Boston Alex and Anne in Portugalia, going over WWII and having an amazing espetada de gambas...

And this week is a 3 day week, whoooo-hoooo!!!!

I got an email earlier on from James about coming over on the week of the 10th but now that I think about it maybe he was talking about July and not June...

Anyways, remember how Jun 3-5 there's a tattoo convention in Valencia? And how on the week after that Jun 10th is a holiday and a Friday and June 13th is Sto.Antonio (also holiday) and a Monday? And how I wanted to go somewhere with Anne, Barcelona being a possibility?

Well the other day Lena phoned from Barcelona and she mentioned coming over on that week. Anne wants to save money so she decided that Barcelona is a no go. However... I am in need of some holidays... And rather soon... So maybe, getting into the Smart and driving to Valencia on the 3rd is not a bad idea. And then hitting up Barcelona doesn't sound too bad either. And staying there untill the 11th or 12th and party for a day or two in Madrid...

Or, given Barcelona terrible reputation for robbing cars, I might ditch the car altogether, pack a backpack, get a fly to Valencia and act as smelly hippy (aka pretend I'm Bill) from there till Barça.

In any case, the idea would be to hit the convention (mental note: set up some money to the side for possible ink work), maybe spend a day or two going up the coast since it is summer after all and the Mediterranean water is warmer than piss and then hitting Barcelona for a few more days. There are a few piercing and tats studios in Barça that are really worth hitting...

Powlow will be working during the week (Yes, I am counting on invading your floor) so I'll have to bumm around Barcelona alone which is not that nice...

So I might have to get on Alex's case so he joins me for a road trip. No bitching allowed (Bill would be proud of me)....

About 31 hours of sleep since Friday didn't recharge my bateries enought to get my ass up from bed this morning and go to the gymn. So I've decided to give up going to the gymn this month...

I figured that it is the 9th, I haven't been yet this month plus there's a 4 day weekend where I plan to take off plus next week I'm not gonna be able to go for about 4 days out of 7 so hey, I better be aware of my limits and pull the plug when I reach them.

This doesn't mean that I'm gonna let myself go, no sir. I just can't seem to be able to crawl out of bed at 6:30 lately and I rather work out after I come from work, which is something that I usually do (to some extend) during the summer. I'll just go running, play b-ball, do abs and that sort of stuff without paying the 60 € that I'd had to if I choose to go to the gymn in after peak-hours... /End boring post

Weekend Stories

For the quick sum up of the weekend:

- Friday the spanish squad was supposed to be arriving and we were supposed to meet. They arrived late as usual and didn't phone me up. Which was great because I woke up with a swollen eye and had a hard time staring at a screen all day long, so staying out of smoked-filled places sounded like the right thing to do. On Saturday it was back to normal.
- Met the spanish terror team in Guincho, Leia tried to bite sand balls (as in a few piles of sand packed in the form of a ball and not some sort of weird VD) and had a bite at Bar do Guincho. Already quite a few people on the beach, gorgeous weather.
- Saturday night things worth mentioning:

Cento made a new sport called speed drinking. The sidefects include messing a perfectly good toilet.
A Blowjob shot without cream becomes a BlackRussian. *scrathes head* Huh?
There were a few brit rugby players around playing (although not in that way) with a battery powered dildo in the same bar as we were. At one point one thought that it would be funny to put it in my hoodie. Me being not my usual self figured that it didn't belong there and proceed to shove it up the ass of the guy which resulted in general laughter. They guy didn't take it (pun) the wrong way (pun again) and I did apologize for not using lube and being too gently. He replied that it was ok, he liked it rought... Classy....
I...I'm even ashamed of writting this...but...I have to confess...I comited the maximum and most terrible possible sin : I recieved many free beers and gave away most of them. Yes, I confess, I did it... I regreat my sins but in my defense I have to say that I only started to do that after some speed drinking forced by Cento that involved downing beers nº 4 to 7 and a blowjob/black russian in about 20 minutes... Too much for me. What made things worse is that from that point on I didn't pay a single dime more for beer (though I did pussy out and had a coke) and gave away most of the beer from 8 to...err 12? 14? No clue...

On saturday we went to see a movie about Hitler's last days in the bunker, I believe it has been translated into english as "The Fall". Amazing, go see it.

At the beggining of the movie it really impressed me how human Hitler is portraied, somehow, it never hit me that Hitler could be human... and how he was a straight edge vegetarian: did not drink, smoked or ate meat (at least I can fucking think???). Is pretty scary as I got the impression (from the movie only of course) that this real evil person was not, after all, a lunatic. He had a very well laid down plan, incredibly logical and really believed that he was doing the best for Germany and for the world. Totally wrong but completly rational. If he and Bush Jr. would stand side by side it would be pretty obvious that Bush is crazy one and Hitler was a very rational man.

And while on it just think about how similar the two of them are: both meaning the best for their countries and the world, both fighting a "hidden menace" and putting the blame on an ethnic group for internal problems down to creating concentration camps outside their nation where is easier to bend or totally shatter the conventional treatment of prisoners, fueling the internal economy through war expansion (if only Bush would be half the economist that Hitler was, we would be all dead by now), both with massive support from and uneducated population (and yes, I am saying that americans are uneducated), both using a homeland terrorist act as a way to start a war...Is scary! The main difference is that Bush's IQ can barely raise from the floor and Hitler's bodycount (for the time being) is much higher. Then again he started with a country that had nothing, let's see if Bush can do worse than him...

I've been so fucking tired lately that is getting ridiculous... I'm supposed to hit the gymn twice a week and this month I've gone a total of 3 times so far... I feel tired 24/7 and can't be arsed to get up early enought to go to the gymn, don't have energy to walk the dog and can't think of new and exciting things to do. In two words "It sucks". Last week Sahra dropped by for a few days and didn't even manage to meet with her. Not good.

A day at the races

The weeked went by like a bullet. It was the Estoril Motorbike Grand Prix...sorry the Betandwin.com Estoril Grand Prix, the portuguese stage of the world motorbike championship and since Betandwin is a client of ours we scored some passes which translated into a 45 minutes work meeting which later on translated into a Sunday (race day) work day ... So so much for the weekend... I'm having trouble getting up and hitting the bathroom, let alone the gymn and Anne has a slight cold, even though it is April and the weather is good... Next week a spanish terror squad will hit Lisbon and I actually miss them as I'm supposed to do some business travel. More on that later... Yesterday we went bowling. Cento, Elena, Fuck, Paulinho, Anne and me at the BIL on the Expo. It was cool and we had some light week-day-night kind of fun. I'd like to do it again on Tuesday as is cheaper, 4€ per game plus 1€ for shoes is still quite a bit...Then again 2 beers for 1,5€ sounds sweet. Next time Anne is driving.

Speaking of Anne, I found out that behind that sweet face is one wicked natural born killer. After the game we went upstairs where they have some arcade machines and Anne and Fuck totally ruled this House of Dead shooting game. You know the kind, where you hold the gun and have massive amounts of zombies, bats, spiders and monsters coming at you. All with loads of gore...On the way back I swear I could see her eye twich every now and then :)... She told me people could get nightmares by playing that game, I made fun of her and she gave it back with a bang this morning when I told her that I had a pretty bad nightmare consiting of this version of Fuck, like evil and dark Fuck, killing Powlow and then hiding the body. And we couldn't find the body even though we torture Dark Fuck. All parties involved, be afraid...be very afraid....

The big story over the last few days was Guiller's borrowed Fiat Uno (from Feijoo) getting robbed. Something along these lines:

On Sunday Guiller arrived home and parked the car in front of our building. About 20 minutes later the car was not there. Did I forget to mention that he spend most of Thu-Fri and Saturday chasing around parts and fixing the car so he could pass the inspection on Saturday which he did and was really happy about? Well there it is...

So the first idea is that the car had been towed away by the cops since it was on the sidewalk. We hit a tow truck park and no car there. They checked with the other parks (by radio taking fucking 20 minutes since the place was rather new and didn't have a telephone yet, portuguese style) and no car there. So down to the pigs barn in Benfica. It took about 2 hours for a guy to type a one and half page report with Guiller's data and stuff. And restarting the computer 3 times. It was surreal... And is not like we had to wait for one hour and then he started typping. Nope, this is from the moment that he said "Name?" to the moment "if we find it we'll let you know" came out of the pig's mouth. So we left the place around midnight... And you wonder why the police sucks big balls in this country?

Anyways, the car showed up yesterday near Continente Amadora minus one radio and two mp3 players... I guess Guiller is gonna get a big ass hungry pittbull now to stay in the car when he parks...

So as it turns out I don't have a lot of pictures of the weekend although I do have some cool short movies that will join my soon-to-be movie project. I know that Chess is supposed to have shitloads of party pics that maybe he'll bother to send... If someone has his email please spam the shit out of him untill he sends me the infimous Team 69 picture along with all the others from this weekend.

Anyways, below are some pictures of dinner on Sunday. If I recall correctly Guiller, James and Paul arrived home around 7 in the morning, didn't make as much noise as on Saturday and I didn't get up trying to get people to go to Feira da Ladra. They had breakfast with Anne who had to work on both Sat and Sun and missed a big chunk of the fun... I think that Paul, James and me were up around 1-2 and had something to eat. Fucked around the house and played PS2 (I kicked James ass over and over and over and over at Tony Hawk Underground) and when Anne arrived we went over to the park in Monsanto in my new gorgeous Smart ForFour with Leia in the trunk (and going histerical the whole way). When we got there Bill also showed up, coming back from dropping Ches and Angela at the airport. We walked around for a bit and Bill and Paul skated for a bit on the skatepark with this really old crappy skateboard that I own.

After that part we went to Califa, next to my house where Guiller also showed up and stayed there for a bit untill everybody but Anne and me took off for Quente & Bom next to Bill's house. Anne and me stayed for about an hour at home chating and catching up on the last 3 days since we didn't have any time alone... Once you get used to living with someone and sharing many things is really strange when 3 days go by where you're with each other but rarely get a chance to talk to each other. Even worse when those days are totally packed with about a million things at the time. Anyways it felt good...

The day ended with dinner in this place close to Alges, below you'll see the people involved plus yours truly (but hey, I'm not into taking pics of myself). The pics look shitty but hey, I took them with my phone cam. I think more people where supposed to show up but nobody else did.

Actually, the day didn't end there, powlow went to his parents home, fell asleep then showed up at my place at 2 in the morning to wake up about 2 hours later to catch his flight.

I just fucked up an amazing long post about last weekend... I think I'm gonna live with it and refer at powlow.com if anyone wants to hear in detail what happen during the weekend (and if powlow could actually remove his thumb out of his ass long enought to update the site it would also help).

So far this week is veeeery busy with load to do at work making sure that a bunch of campaigns are online and running...back to the old routine:
- 1st week of the month, make sure that all campaigns are live and solving every fuckup for those that are not live
- 2nd week: Chill, star new deals, do some new business
- 3rd week: Close renewal deals and try to close new deals
- 4th week: Handle Insertion Orders, Invoices, materials for the new deals and make sure everything will run smoothly

On top of that everyone is trying to find out where my b-day party will be (myself included). the idea was to book this place where we went last saturday but we just found out that is booked already. So now...no fucking clue... The only thing that I know is that I DO NOT WANT DRAG QUEENS ON MY BIRTHDAY. And if you're thinking "Alex K's idea?" you're getting the money shot (and his gf is getting a pearl necklace as he joyfully announced on the mic on Friday).

So yeah, I'm gonna go back to work and I'll try to post some new pics soon.

I'll have to make a big post about this weekend or at least a few ones with pictures because it has been a very long weekend with a lot going on and loads and loads of fun was had. Some Keywords for this weekend were: Paul and James, Three and a Quarter, Ches and Angela, going back home at 7 am, taxi drivers, Tony Hawk Underground, Cento crowd surfing, Jonas sleeping 22 hours straight, Alex K having sex in public, crowded bars, Smart ForFour, rain, Anne working Saturday and Sunday, pasteis de nata, "I'm waiting for you on the parking lot in Restelo, where the whores are...you know the place", James slamming doors, lack of sleep, airports, digital cameras and that's just to scratch the surface.

This was taking today at 8 am from my house. Warning: If you are going from London to Lisbon this weekend hoping to find amazing weather, sunny, hot and no rain at all you got another thing comming...

..on a side note, if you've been a donkeyballs idiot about alleged quotes by yours truly, there's a serious risk that you end up spending a good part of the weekend trying to get rid of the smell of dirty underwear that somehow made it up all the way from my dirty laundry basket in the other room to getting stuck on your nostrils (along with part of Jewel's cat litter ending up on your travel bag) while you're sleeping totally drunk on the first night in Lisbon...

The weekend was a calm one. Started with a downpayment on my new car on friday...
Stayed home Friday night and went on to play b-ball on Saturday with Jonas and Bernardo. Since they were late I jogged for 20 minutes (which I'm actually impressed that I can now do) and then waited for them for like 5 more minutes until they actually showed up. Play was good but just 3 people sucks a bit, let's see if this Saturday we can drag more people out of bed and play a 3-on-3 or something.
Afternoon was spend at home chilling and doing housework and at 7 I crashed on the couch. Slept for 2 hours solid and then woke up. Anne was trying to get me to this DJ party in Santos with the DJ from portishead or something where Bill managed to get us on the list... It was not going to happen. I slept for 12 hours straight and only woke up when my bladder was about 2 seconds from exploding. Anne says that I missed a very good party but after seeing her fighting a hangover for most of the day while I was feeling brand new I didn't regreat a thing.
Sunday afternoon was spend with two girls from the German school in Monsanto and...errr, just noticed that sounds pretty dodgy. Ok, let's rephrase that: Anne, Leia and me went out to this park in Monsanto along with 2 of Anne's co-workers and then went to Quente e Bom to meet Guiller and Bill...
...which reminds me that I have some short clips that I'd like to host somewhere, so please send your ideas in. Maybe Angelfire or something like that...
Anyways, James and Paul are here this weekend so it will be hell on Earth... I'll update later.

Friday finally

...The random useless information bit of the day right now I have a total of 16 windows open on my computer: 1 MSN messenger, 7 browser, 3 excell and 4 outlook...

This has been the week from hell. I can't believe is finally Friday. I've been working non stop, solving a million and one things to see if I manage to get a car, not sleeping much plus fuck knows what else.

Other than Saturday morning b-ball I don't have plans for the weekend which is just lovely as I feel like lazing around in the sun like crazy. Yep, people in Boston, London, Germany and Budapest, eat your heart out: 16º C and sunny as it gets. Oh, did I mentioned that I just had lunch in Carcavelos? As for next week, the way things are going I'll need a detox and rehab clininc by the time Monday comes rolling. Let's see... James is arriving on Thursday and if I remember last time, on Friday he'll wake up butt naked in why living room sporting a nasty hangover. Then at night I'll probably spend a bit of time with my sys to celebrate her birthday and somehow make it to pick up the almighty powlow at the airport. After that is party at Universidade Nova where Three and a Quarter and DJ Dresh (aka Andres) will be putting up a show. Ches and Angela are supposed to come be in Lisbon also. Both Paul and James take off on Monday by which time I hope that my liver hasn't broke down on me and that I can still remember my own name...

It would be a perfect weekend... if it wasn't for Anne having to attend this on-the-job class for Saturday and Sunday :(( I'm sending negative energies so the thing gets called off and sabotaging the German school is still not totally out of the picture...

Oh, and Alex wants me to hit Mardi Grass with him... The only thing that comes to my head is the expression "Hell Unleashed"...
